Santo Scalia is associate professor in Pharmaceutics at the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ferrara University. He graduated in Chemistry at the University of Rome in 1978, and in 1983 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Phylosophy at the Chemistry Department of Keele University (UK). His research interest focus on the development of new systems (inclusion complexes with cyclodextrins, micro- and nano-particle carriers) to improve the stability and efficacy of pharmaceutical and cosmetic active ingredients. He has co-authored over 110 scientific papers published in international journals and he has presented 16 communications at national and international conferences.
