Biography

Dr. Dario Cristofaro is currently Head of R&D and Project Manager at Maycos Italiana, leading innovation in the Personal Care sector. He holds a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Ferrara, where his early work focused on organic synthesis and green chemistry. His early career included research on amino acids, biopolymers, flavonoids, hyaluronate-based, cellulose-derived compounds and upcycling ingredients. His work bridges academic research and industrial application, with a strong emphasis on green chemistry and innovative surfactants. He has authored multiple scientific publications and is co-inventor of patents on biodegradable polymers and natural compounds.
