AMINAT® is the trademark for formulations based on Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate HCl (LAE®), an innovative and safe ingredient with additional properties that go beyond preservation. LAE® is a natural derived compound with a NOI=1, designed and manufactured according to the 12 principles of Green Chemistry. It is also biodegradable. The antimicrobial properties of LAE® derive from its cationic nature and its hydrophobic chain. As such, it behaves like a cationic surfactant. The molecule also has anti-attachment, anti-dandruff activity, acts like a sebum regulator, and provides emulsifying properties and smoothness to skin and hair. Therefore, AMINAT® can be used in different applications such as Oral care, Hair care, Deodorants and Skin care. A wide range of toxicological studies have demonstrated that no adverse effects are associated with its ingestion at the intended levels of use.
