Mr Marcello Monti

Dermatologist and Professor.

University of Milan

Professor Marcello Monti graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pavia and specialised in Dermatology and Venereology, as well as Infectious and Parasitic Diseases at the University of Milan. He was a Researcher at the University of Milan’s Dermatology Clinic and in 1990 he won the competition for Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Milan. Since 1997 he has held the position of Head of the Humanitas Dermatology Operating Unit in agreement with the University of Milan. He is also a member of the main international Dermatological Scientific Societies. He has published several books and book chapters in various topics within dermatology. He has been a member of the scientific commission at the Ministry of Health (“Istituto Superiore di Sanità”) countless times. He is the contact person for the evaluation of scientific projects at the Ministry of Health and reviewer of articles for numerous Italian and international scientific journals. As a researcher, he dedicated himself to the study of immunological and infectious diseases involving the skin and as a clinician he devoted himself to the development of new protocols for medical and surgical treatments with particular regard to photoinduced skin tumors and melanoma.
